Position

The Nursery Nurse (NN) is a key carer for a specific group of children, responsible for delivering exceptional care and education for children. The NN works within a team to ensure the nursery is compliant in all areas with an ultimate goal of ‘going for Gold’.


The role of the NN is to support children’s development in partnership with parents, through observing, planning for next steps and evaluating. A NN has the responsibility of building strong partnerships with parents/carers and other professionals, to ensure every child has an individual plan, unique and aligned to their own needs and interests.

A successful candidate must have:

  • A recognized Early Years Education Qualification verified by NARIC as minimum of level 3 qualification (NARIC Statement of Comparability for the Early Years Sector)
    The Fresh Start Group will guide you through the recognition process
  • A communicative level of English
  • Experience of working in an early years’ setting will be highly advantageous however not essential
